Documentation Requirements for Immigration to UAE

UAE-Immigration-servicesThis article specifically deals with the documentation requirements for an Indian passport Holder when he/she wishes to immigrate to UAE on Employment visa. Besides the normal documents like an offer letter from Employer and Valid Visa, there are some documentation requirements and certificate attestation requirements of UAE Government which are mandatory for all Indian Passport holders.
For Ex: If you are a Graduate (BSc, BE, or any stream for that matter) or a Diploma (any discipline) it is advisable that you Enter UAE on a proper visa which states your Qualifications. i.e. if you are an Engineer, your Employer has to obtain an Engineer’s Visa for you so that you will enjoy the privileges and benefits of the same. However if you enter on a worker visa (many a times it is a lame excuse from employer that the visas in specific category is not available with them), then there will be lot of hassles when you try to bring in your family as dependents. The simple reason being that workers salary in UAE does not allow him to bring his family and so the same applies to you. So its very important that you insist on visa which states properly and clearly your profession and designation properly.
For the employer to obtain a technicians visa or an Engineer’s Visa, it is mandatory that your original certificate has to be attested by the UAE consulate in India (since your country of Origin is India). Before you attest your certificate from UAE Consulate in Mumbai / Delhi, they ask for attestation from either HRD of respective state or from the MEA (Ministry of External Affairs) in New Delhi. So it may give you peace of mind to know that there are reputed agencies in Mumbai who take care of all certificate attestations may it be Notary, HRD or MEA and finally from UAE Consulate and charge you a sum which is very nominal as compared to what you may spend in running from pillar to post in Mumbai and New Delhi…

Besides the Educational certificates it is also mandatory that your marriage certificate is attested by UAE Consulate (if your spouse plans to join you in UAE) and same for birth Certificates of your kids.
